- I liked the writing style of Jill Lepore. I read her article, “What do you call the 6th of January?” the article pulls the attention of its readers. At some point, it did become confusing. Some things didn’t make sense. I assume she wanted to convey that insurrection is historically connected to rebellion against political decisions. She used quotes and citations to give credibility to her opinions. She used a lot of transitions in her article.
- What annoys me about the NYC infrastructure: the water drainage system. When it rains, there’s always a pool of water at the end of the road. you have to cross the street but even with an umbrella, you still get soaked; your clothes get wet regardless. the water pools itself even after the rain has stopped for hours. This was a free write for an idea about proposal.
- A possible object for your technical description: A fountain pen. I really like fountain pens; they fascinate me. Pens have different ink fills. I have one that uses prefilled cartridges and its cartridges can’t be filled manually. But then, I also have another pen that can be filled manually; you need an ink pot to fill the pen. I like how it has different components. It’s nib, its body, its cap, and barrel: everything is magical.
- What does our proposal need? Our proposed innovation needs an emergency system. It needs a manual release, should be automatic, has to be full length, needs to be glass door.
