Our sustainability PSA focuses on the importance of maintaining and protecting New York City’s trees as a vital part of urban life. This PSA highlights how trees improve air quality, reduce heat, support wildlife, and contribute to the overall well-being of communities. (NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice, n.d). By showing the negative impact of losing these green spaces, our PSA emphasizes that the trees of New York are not just decorative, but essential to a healthy and livable city. This SPSA calls on viewers to take action by supporting local tree-planting initiatives, properly caring for trees in their neighborhoods, reducing activities that harm green spaces, and speaking up for policies that protect urban environments. It all starts with something as simple as finding a trash can down the block, rather than throwing trash on the floor. Ultimately, the PSA encourages individuals to recognize their role in preserving city trees and sustaining a healthier future.
